This recipe is in the Week 1 Meal Plan PDF as well as the cookbook style pdf's, like the Dessert Smoothies PDF

    MVI_2363.00_03_34_22.Still003

    ingredients:

    • 1/2 cup frozen blackberries
    • 2-6 tbs water (add as little as needed basically)(
    • Zest of 1 lime
    • 2 tsp. lime juice
    • 8 ice cubes
    • 1 tsp. Erythritol based sweetener
    • Stevia to taste*

    What to do:

High Powered Blender: Add liquids first/soft ingredients first, then ice, and blend.
Ninja: Add ice first, then rest of ingredients on top. Do crush function first to crush ice. Scrape sides with spatula, then blend.
Both: You will likely need to scrape the sides with a spatula a time or two- that's how we keep it nice and thick like dessert, not a drink.

*STEVIA NOTES: 1 scoop = the scoop that comes in powdered stevia bottles = 1/32 of tsps = 1 packet stevia. If you do not have any of this, a few light shakes. If you do not like stevia, use more erythritol-based sweetener to compensate. It's not nearly as sweet so per scoop you may need to add 1-3 more tsp. to taste. Please see the “Sweeteners” tutorial on P3tolife.com under the Shopping Tutorials section. You need to be logged in to view it.

    1. The blackberry smoothie is Ahhhh-mazing! I technically started P3 last Wednesday, then went away that same weekend. After we got back it was hectic with work, so I was finally able to make the 1st smoothie this weekend and I am soooooooo excited that I did! These desserts are like a party in your mouth, they explode with flavor and the macros are Fa-getta-bout-it! I heard Rayzel say how we really should make them and now I know why. Delicious, filling and did I mention delicious?!?! It’s like an icy that’s good for you, without the high fructose corn syrup ???????? THANK YOU RAYZEL!

    2. I apologize for my recent question. There is so much valuble information on this site. I wish I could take all of it in at one time, but I just can’t.. I just saw that you have done an entire section on sweetners so you will very likely address my question there. You are quite busy I am sure so it is not necessary for you to answer my question afterall. i wll just view the videos and I am sure you will address it there. Thanks again! Will just have to view the videos tomorrow as I need some sleep as I have been on this site for hours!!!!(smile)

    3. About to shop for necessary items to make smoothies. Soooo exited to get started. just a Quick question. Why is it necessary to use both erythritol and stevia. Do the smoothies not have the same taste profile if only one of the sweetners is used, ie the stevia only? Using stevia worked well for me during P2, ie not causing any weight fluctuations and am just a little scared of the erythritol as i have not use it before. When I tried a different sweetner(xylitol) during P2 , I really think it casued a weight gain. Just wondering as I have come so far and don’t want to turn back now(smile).
Thank you for everything you do to help us along our paths to health and well being!

Hey there! No worries at all mate, I am HERE to help. I may have answered your Q in the sweeteners discussion, but honestly, it’s been awhile since I recorded it so I don’t remember! So just in case, let me explain – basically the blend of the 2 just tastes more real to me. However, that being said, you could totally do it with just stevia- but keep in mind also that the amounts used like in the smoothies are VERY small- each smoothie has only 1-1.5 tsp. of swerve/erythritol, so in general that’s all you would be consuming in whole 1 day. I know it’s easy to compare how our boy reacted in P2 with what we expect to happen in P3 and beyond, but it really is different typically. Just like with eating more food and more variety of foods in P3 goes just fine most the time. But again, if you want to play it safe, you could try just stevia by itself, and then try out gradually adding just a little bit of erythritol here and there to see how you do. I hope that helps! – Rayzel

    4. Hi Rayzel,

I’m so glad! I feel like seeing things with our eyes makes it seem more doable you know?

    5. I love the three smoothie videos you added! I can not wait to get to P3!

      1. Rayzel says:

I’m so glad! I plan on making the other 6 soon, so we’ll have a recipe video for every single dessert smoothie.
