    me-smoothie

    ingredients

    • ¼ cup water
    • 2 tbs. Cocoa powder (ideally raw cocoa powder tastes best)
    • 1.5 tsp. Swerve
    • 1 squirt Caramel liquid stevia
    • Stevia to taste
    • 9-10 ice cubes

    Optional topping:

Note: Make this first so your smoothie doesn't melt while you're making it.

1 tbs. Coconut cream mixed with ½ tsp. swerve- it hards on top from the cold smoothie like magic shell! Meal plan includes this.

Note: In Maintenance/Phase 4 I use 2 tbs. Coconut Cream for my topping. mmmmm.

    1. Hi Rayzel,
I have a Nutri-bullet blender so should I use your instructions for the Ninja or the Vitamix?

      1. Rayzel says:

I don’t think the nutri-bullet will work- I got one myself to try it out one time- the instructions say it’s not designed for crushing ice and it won’t such thick material. If you use it, you will need to add more liquids for sure.

    2. Is there anyway to make the smoothies in batches? I know I would be more apt to eat them is there were pre-prepared : ) Or would that mess up the consistency?

      1. Rayzel says:

You know- you could try if you have the large carafe- one of my P3tolife members did do that for her kids and kept servings in the freezer- you would just need to take them out several hours in advance in the fridge to thaw enough – I’m not sure myself as I haven’t done this- for me the smoothies take like 3 minutes to make so it’s not worth making ahead for me- almost seems like more work haha! But Yes totally give it a try and defrost in fridge well in advance! With all the ice cubes depending on the smoothie recipe, it will probably be able to fit 2-3 smoothies per large carafe is my guess.

    3. I just made this today and was absolutely amazed at the flavor! My son-in-law was watching me enjoy it and decided to try one for himself. He doesn’t need to watch his calories, but also declared it pretty amazing. Thank you thank you! Can’t wait to try some of the other smoothies.

      Deb

      1. Rayzel says:

Hey Deb! Aww that’s so neat to hear. These smoothies save me honestly to this day- it’s my sweet fix each night :)-

    4. This is my favorite nightly smoothie. The coconut cream adds a lot of flavor. I wondered if you had any ideas on how to make something to replace these that could travel or make faster. I was trying to think of something like a fat bomb. There were a few nights that I couldn’t have my smoothie because we got home too late and I really missed it.

      1. Rayzel says:

Hmmm that is a good question! Are you the type that can eat those foods – those fat bombs- in moderation? I tried to find a couple recipes online with chocolate and coconut milk or cream for fat bomb recipes- here’s a couple you might look at – if they mention a natural sweetener, I would personally probably replace with swerve/stevia combo –

warning here I don’t know the calorie amount per “bomb” lol or serving – check on that- that’s the nice about the smoothies is with all that ice, you get a nice serving size for the calories- but like you said, doesn’t really travel well! Also, I believe week 4 or 5 recipes coming out has chocolate muffins with zucchini that will be lower calorie that should travel well and be a bit lower calorie than the bombs too- I will email you that recipe shortly in the meantime too since it’s not on the P3 site yet okay?

    5. I just tried this!!! So yummy 😛 I don’t have Swerve on hand so I used Sugarless Sugar (erythritol, organic insulin, rice maltodextrin, guar gum and organic stevia). It worked and satisfied! I am on day two of P3. Thank you Rayzel for this wonderful resource 🙂

        1. Rayzel says:

          Lol! wouldn’t that be funny.

      1. Rayzel says:

Awesome Kenya! Please do keep in touch with your progress okay? Would love to keep hearing how things are going! So glad you liked the smoothie. They really are my go-to’s for yummy desserts.

      2. Is rice maltodextrin a form of sugar?

        1. Rayzel says:

It’s definitely best avoided in general – the stevia I used to use had it as a filler but I didn’t notice it to affect anything in general- however, the brand I used to buy changed their formula and I believe it’s now a much great concentration of it so I have switched brands- I now recommend trim healthy mama which has no additives at all, it’s just stevia and still tastes pretty good.

      3. drctracy says:

That sounds awesome. I’m sure you meant inulin vs insulin. Inulin is a prebiotic food for your gut microbiome. It’s great to have a healthy low cal snack. Thanks everyone.

    6. Looks very yummy!

I’m still in phase 2, but I want to have nice ideas for phases 3 & 4.
Thank you so very much for your nice work.

      Mary

      1. Rayzel says:

Awww thank you Mary! I want to continue to show as much as possible because I feel like that makes it feel more doable once you see it in action you know?
