Cooking Oil Sprays
In the past, we are advised not to use those kinds of sprays with a lot of weird stuff in it. But the cool thing is now you can get the kind where all it has is just the oil in it.
Types of cooking oil sprays.
- You can get the misto sprayers and just add your own oil - this one tends to clog over time and you have to clean them frequently.
- Cooking oil spray with just oil in it. On the explanation on the side, it says it has a special technology so that it doesn't need to have additives or propellant in it. So this is a great choice.
- Cooking oil sprays with a lot of weird stuff in it like dimethyl silicone which is also use as a defoamer/ antifoam in textile, paint and varnish, paper, and cosmetics. It also contains propellant to dispense spray.
- Cooking oil spray that doesn't have as much chemicals as the other one but it does have propellant in it. So this is in-between, just so you have a choice.
Why do we need the cooking oil spray?
The reason we are actually using cooking spray as oppose to putting a lot of butter or oil in our food is because on P3, we're trying to STABILIZE. We're coming off the really low calorie phase and we're gradually increasing our calories. That means we have to be cautious with our use of fat. So right now it's good to just use a little bit, that way we're not adding extra calories unnecessarily.
