Enjoy this quick video tutorial for the
banana nut
dessert smoothie
This recipe is in the Week 3 Meal Plan PDF as well as the cookbook style pdf's, like the Dessert Smoothies PDF.
- Yields: 1 serving - Serving size: 1 recipe (you get to eat the WHOLE thing. None of this saving parts of dessert recipes for later things, that's just crazy.

Almost all the carbs are coming from 1/2 a small banana. This is very reasonable guys!
ingredients
SMOOTHIE
½ small banana (2 oz)
¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp half and half (or sub lite canned coconut milk)
1 tsp walnut oil
½ tsp
banana extract (optional)
9 ice cubes
1 tsp Swerve/Truvia
Stevia to taste*
TOPPING
.5oz toasted chopped walnuts
Spritz of cooking spray
1/4 tsp truvia/swerve
BRIGHT IDEA!
Make the topping in bulk.
1/2 cup walnuts halves (2oz) - then chop them up
Coating of Avocado oil cooking spray on pan
1 tsp. Swerve/truvia
Use: 2 tbs. of this topping per smoothie. Makes 4 smoothies worth.
What to Do:
TOPPING: Add nuts, Swerve/Truvia to pan and spritz with cooking spray (use a spray that has no propellent or additives- these exist! See my tutorial on this here). Toast 3-5 minutes. Reserve. See bright idea above to make this topping bulk, so the smoothie only takes a few extra minutes the first time and the next few times you make this smoothie it will take you like 3 minutes.
High Powered Blender: Add liquids/soft ingredients first, then ice, and blend.
Ninja: Add ice first, then rest of ingredients on top. Do crush function first to crush ice. Scrape sides with spatula, then blend.
Both: You will likely need to scrape the sides with a spatula a time or two
*STEVIA NOTES: 1 scoop = the scoop that comes in stevia bottle = 1/32 of tsps = 1 packet stevia. If you do not have any of this, a few light shakes. If you do not like stevia, use more erythritol-based sweetener to compensate. It’s not nearly as sweet so per scoop you may need to add 1-3 more tsp. to taste. Please see the Sweeteners tutorial for more info about this.
